PROFILE OF ALHAJI (CHIEF) R.O.A HASSAN (FCIS)

He was born in Lagos 56 years ago to Alhaji Imam and Alhaja Daud Arowoshafe Hassan who are from Abeokuta and Igbesa (Ado – Odo – Ota) respectively.

He attended Salvation Army Primary School in Surulere, Lagos. He also attended Jubril Martins Memorial Grammar school and finished in 1977.

He proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic where he studied Purchasing and Supply Management and graduated in 1982.

He also did his Master in Financial Management (MBA) at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in year 2000.

He attended an advanced Professional Diploma Course in Education at the University of Lagos, was the General Secretary and a Lecture for about 5 years at the Nigerian Institute of Purchasing & supply management.

He worked with the Lagos State Ministry of Education for 25 years before retiring voluntarily as a Chief Accountant.

He had earlier set up RILECO Nigeria Limited and ROAH DOT COM. LTD before the need for a quality school in Ijoko area coupled with friends’ request became imminent when he moved to the area from Lagos.

In the year 2002, he registered The Crescent Educational Consultants Ltd with the CAC. He embarked upon building a purpose built school structure for about 3 years.

The Crescent International School later commenced business in September 2005 with 117 pupils. The Secondary School was built in 2007 and the school’ has been growing in leaps and bound.

The school has over 800 student and pupils with over 125 teaching and Non-teaching Staff.

The A level classes will start in June 2016 by Gods Grace.

He is a member of the following professional bodies:-

  1. The Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (UK).
  2. The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (UK).
  3. Member, British institute of Management.
  4. Member, national Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
  5. Member, Association of Childhood Education International (ACEI)

He is also the Asiwaju Adinni of Sango Police Central Mosque amongst other titles.

In his bid to serve as a voice for NAPPS members and to strengthen and fortify strength through unity, Alhaji Olabode Rilwan as a loyalist to the core has assured members of sustaining the good works of his predecessor and even doing more.
